Greatness’ Tie To Multicultural Diversity

Diversity, Multicultural, Leadership SuccessIf you have been following my articles you may be convinced by the example of AT&T and Wal-Mart that diversity can be a great return on investment. However, if you’re sharp you’ve been hesitant to jump on board because you know if you set it up in the wrong way it’s like pouring water down a rat hole.

In previous articles I’ve covered a few of the steps to developing diversity in the right way. However there are still a few things to do to build a rock solid diversity program that will yield a decent profit.

Can Multicultural Diversity Programs Help People To Riches?

Diversity, Leadership SuccessIf you’re interested in building a multicultural program that will actually improve your bottom line, and is more than looks good then you want to read this article and my subsequent ones. I’m not holding anything back I’m giving you the full scoop.

Here’s something I mentioned before, but it is worth mentioning again. “Develop a clear business rational for diversity policies (Marquis, 2008).”

I mean we’re in business to help support our employees, investors, and even society by being successful. Profits achieved ethically are good for everyone.

Multicultural Diversity, Prosperity, and AT&T

You don’t have to believe me just look at this:

Not only is AT&T the number one telecommunication company in the U.S. it is helping “seed and grow literally hundreds of minority-owned and operated businesses (WETexas, 1992-2012).” And they literally don’t overlook anyone “When we think of diversity, it’s not just about male, female and ethnic differences; it’s about diversity of opinion, geographic diversity, age, education … it’s everything (WETexas, 1992-2012),”

Are you getting the picture? Really diversity requires focus and a deep level of company wide commitment (Marquis, 2008). An old adage is a picture is worth a thousand words well here’s a short video that must be worth a gazillion.

An AT&T employee expresses speaks about the affects of AT&T’s multicultural initiative: it’s more far reaching than you think.  How far would you like your reach to be?

AT&T’s Positive Impact On Multicultural Groups Is Huge

 Stay hungry for excellence,

Alex
